Mr. Coore, an Attorney-at-Law, attended Jamaica College where in 1942 he became Jamaica Scholar. He attended McGill and Oxford Universities, and Middle Temple where he did the Bar. He entered public life in 1959 when he became a Member of the Legislative Council. He has served as a Member of Parliament, Senator, Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General. His experience spans decades of Jamaicas efforts at development since independence. Mr. Coore has also served as Representative and Chief of Mission of the IDB, as well as Senior Advisor and Legal Council to the IDB. Mr. Coore, a highly respected Legal Scholar and Advocate, is currently consultant to Myers Fletcher & Gordon, one of Jamaicas leading law firms.
