Ms. Markes, initially trained in Early Childhood Education, opted to work in the Tourism Sector in Jamaica. Currently, she manages the prestigious Tryall Club, a 68 Villa Golf Club and resort in Sandy Bay, Hanover. She has considerable experience in the hospitality industry, having held positions in major hotels and resorts including the Jamaica Pegasus (300 rooms), the Mallards Beach Hyatt (350 rooms) and the Negril Beach Villas (225 rooms) among others. In addition to her activities at Tryall she engages in community and outreach programmes in Hanover. She chairs the Bethel Primary and Junior High School Projects in Hopewell, is a Director of the Urban Community Development Fund and chairs the Tenacity Group – an outreach group - in Sandy Bay. Her interests away from the job see her enjoying travel, golf, tennis, reading and writing. She brings a wealth of relevant and useful experience to the Board of FINSAC.
